On Tuesday, Becky met us in the lobby at 8:45 am, and we went back to the Guangdong adoption center to finalize Becca Joy's adoption. This included a family photo of Priscilla, me and Becca Joy, and an "interview" where we answered various questions about our health, satisfaction with Becca Joy and our promise to never abuse or abandon her. Altogether, it took about an hour and we then went back to the hotel. This papework basically meant that Becca Joy was officially our daughter. The next 10 days will consist of a medical visit, obtaining a Chinese passport for Becca Joy and a U.S. VISA.
We settled in for a restful evening, which turned out my first good nights sleep since last Wednesday. Hopey and Becca Joy continued to bond, and we all got along well. We did Skype video calls with our other three kids, and Becca Joy even said Hi and waved. Our other kids were thrilled!
We can't wait to follow in your footsteps to our LongGang Lovie... all of your children are beautiful - and your two little girls are stunning!! Enjoy these precious days..

Waiting for Longgang Hai
sorry took me so long to get to this cool blog - So happy for you guys!! This is so great to see this process unfolding.
ReplyDeleteIn this study Tina and I are in, we are "relearning" not to ask "what is God's will for our lives",but more importantly ask "What is God's will?" Then look where God is moving and seek to join Him in that process. It so great to see you all moving in God's will of caring for orphans - it is a blessed calling and you are so right to continue to give Him the praise.
Cant wait to meet her when you return, in the meantime enjoy this incredible "bonding time" all well on this end.
